First & Second Quarter Top Agent Celebration
Amy Bernstein, president and broker of Bernstein Realty, recently hosted a celebratory dinner at Tony’s in honor of the company’s first and second quarter Top Agents. Each agent received a personalized bottle of champagne to commemorate his or her high achievement. In addition, Bernstein thanked them for their hard work and toasted their continued success.

Amy Bernstein featured on “Beyond the Headlines
Amy Bernstein was recently featured on Channel 2’s “Beyond the Headlines” segment. Bernstein discussed the Houston real market and the foreclosure market with KPRC senior producer Kim Davis. She also emphasized the importance of using a real estate professional when buying or selling a home.

Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance Expo 2008
Bernstein Realty is a certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA) and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). On Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23, 2008, Bernstein Realty was a sponsor and exhibitor at the WBEA Expo 2008. This year’s EXPO, “WBEA Connections”, set out to connect women’s business enterprises with corporate purchasers, governmental agencies and other women-owned businesses for the primary purpose of creating opportunities to work together.

Susan G. Komen Pink Tie Gala
Amy Bernstein, Gloria Moorman and Mary Piper of Bernstein Realty recently attended the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Pink Tie Gala on behalf of the Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation. The three are shown here with the event’s guest speaker, Lily Tomlin. The Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation benefits breast cancer research through the Houston Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine.

2007 Rodeo Chili Cook-off
On Saturday, November 17, 2007, Bernstein Realty agents, staff and friends joined together to participate in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s Annual Chili Cookoff at Traders Village. The Bernstein Realty team placed in the Top 10 finalists in the Chili category and the event helped raise money for youth and education scholarships. Bernstein Realty’s 2007 Awards Celebration
Amy Bernstein, president of Bernstein Realty, recently hosted the company’s 2007 Annual Awards Dinner at Truluck’s Restaurant.
Janice Ratliff received the company’s highest honor when she was presented with the “Top Producer” award for 2007. This is an extraordinary achievement for Ratliff who has received this prestigious award a total of four times over her eighteen-year career with Bernstein Realty.

Bernstein Realty named one of Houston’s Top 50 Fastest-Growing Woman-Owned Businesses
    Bernstein Realty, Inc. was recently named one of the “Top 50 Fastest-Growing Woman-Owned Businesses” by the Houston Business Journal and was honored at a luncheon on Friday, August 24, 2007 at The Westin Galleria Hotel.
    The list, published by the Houston Business Journal, is based on growth in revenue and rankings are based on percentage of growth in revenue between 2005 and 2006.

Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation Honored
The Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation was recently honored at the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston Affiliate Pink Tie Gala. The Foundation was the recipient of the “Hope Award For Ambassadorship.” The Special Guest Entertainer was veteran comedian Bob Newhart, who is pictured with Gloria Moorman, Amy Bernstein and Mary Piper, all of whom are committee members of the Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation.

The Houston Canine Frisbee Disc Club
The Houston Canine Frisbee Disc Club in conjunction with the city of Pearland hosted a regional canine Frisbee tournament and fund raiser on Saturday, March 3rd at Liberty Park in Pearland. Mark McNitt, 14 year veteran with Bernstein Realty and current president of the local canine Frisbee club, estimated about 3,000 visitors came out to watch the event. The event raised funds for the Pearland Animal Adoption Center.

Bernstein Realty’s 2006 Awards Celebration
Bernstein Realty president Amy Bernstein hosted the company’s 2006 Annual Awards Dinner Saturday night at Amici Restaurant.
Estelle Elles received the company’s highest honor when she was presented with the “Top Producer” award for 2006. Elles was also last year’s recipient and has now received this prestigious award a total of five times over her thirteen year career with Bernstein Realty.
Other awards were presented as follows: Mark McNitt received the award for “Top Listing Agent” and the award for “Top Sales Agent.” Trent Johnson received the award for “Top Leasing Agent” and the “Rising Star Award.” Leslie Lerner received the award for the “Highest 2006 Sale” and Mary Piper received the award for the “Smallest 2006 Sale.” Morgan Pickens was presented with the award for “Most Opportunity Time Conversions.” The “Heart and Courage Award” was presented to Dani Salinas, who made a surprise appearance at the company’s Awards Dinner.
A 10-year Anniversary award was presented to Barbara Murdock, and the following individuals received 5-year Anniversary Awards: Jane Ayala, Susan McCauley and Gloria Moorman.
Many people were mentioned for their outstanding contributions throughout the year, in making 2006 a record year for the company.
