Premier Agent Spotlight: Amy Bernstein

Bernstein Realty’s Amy Bernstein has over 34 years of residential real estate experience in Houston and is recognized as a leader in the industry.

“It is exciting to see the continued growth in Houston, and all the new developments in and around the city. According to the latest Houston Association of Realtors statistics, the housing market held steady in February 2016, with single-family home sales rising 2.2 percent last month, over last year,” Bernstein said.

Bernstein Realty’s first office opened in 1985 on the north side of I-10 in the Spring Branch area. When the I-10 expansion occurred, the office moved to the south side of I-10, where Bernstein has been a longtime resident.

“I have always been familiar with Memorial and Spring Branch, so watching this area transition has always interested me. The plans for the area, according to the district’s website (www.sbmd.org) has a great deal of proposed changes and developments, which include mobility and transit improvements, road expansions and repairs, increasing bike/pedestrian pathways, rebranding and marketing the area, increasing public safety awareness, and a large amount of new construction, including over 22 single-family subdivisions with prices ranging from $175,000 to over $1,000,000,” Bernstein said.

Bernstein and her agents pride themselves on staying abreast of the new developments in the area to keep their clients informed.

The Spring Branch area has been recognized as one of the “hot neighborhoods to watch” in 2016 and home prices are expected to grow between 3 to 3.5 percent, Bernstein said.

The agents at Bernstein Realty have assisted individuals and families moving to the area many of whom are attracted to the schools in Spring Branch ISD enjoy access to the Energy Corridor and downtown and the proximity to amenities including City Centre, Town and Country, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Memorial City Mall, the Marque Center and much more.

“There are many areas within Houston that are rapidly growing and that Houston, as the Greater Houston Partnership’s slogan says, really does seem to be ‘The City With No Limits,'” Bernstein said.

The proposal of the light speed rail, development along the U.S. 290 corridor, new construction throughout the city, Grand Parkway expansion and other big projects are keeping the city and the real estate market buzzing.

“Moreover, with Bernstein Realty serving all areas of Houston, we feel today, more than ever, that we are the real estate company with no limits,” Bernstein said.

With Houston being so diverse, and with so many choices to live in and around the city, plus lower interest rates, the real estate market and relocation to the city remain strong.

“Whether buying, selling or leasing, in the city or the surrounding suburbs, Bernstein Realty looks forward to the opportunity to be of service,” Bernstein said.
