Houston Chronicle’s Premier agent spotlight: Amy Bernstein

Longtime leader Bernstein brings expertise to the table

Bernstein Realty’s Amy Bernstein has more than 35 years of residential real estate experience in Houston and is recognized as a longtime leader in the industry.

“It is exciting to see the continued growth in Houston, and all the new developments in and around the city. According to the latest Houston Association of Realtors’ (HAR) statistics, sales and rentals of homes throughout greater Houston continue to outpace 2016’s record performance,” Bernstein said.

Bernstein Realty opened in 1985 on the north side of I-10 in the Spring Branch area. When the I-10 expansion occurred, the Bernstein Realty office moved to the south side of I-10, where Bernstein has been a longtime resident.
“I have always been extremely familiar with Memorial and the surrounding, close-in neighborhoods, and watching the area develop has always interested me,” Bernstein said.

The plans for the area have a great deal of proposed improvements, which include mobility changes, road expansions and repairs, increasing bike/pedestrian pathways, rebranding and marketing the area, and a large amount of new construction, including many single-family subdivisions with various price ranges.

She and her agents pride themselves on staying abreast of the new developments around the city so they can be a resource to their clients. The Spring Branch area was recognized as one of the “Hot Neighborhoods to Watch” in 2016 and topped the list in 2017.

The agents at Bernstein Realty have assisted individuals and families moving to the area, many of whom are attracted to the schools in the Spring Branch Independent School District; enjoy the easy commute to the Energy Corridor and downtown, and the proximity to wonderful amenities including City Centre, Town and Country, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Memorial City Mall and more.

“There are many areas within Houston that are growing, and exciting proposals and projects like the light speed rail, development along the U.S. 290 corridor, new construction throughout the city, Grand Parkway construction and other big projects, and wonderful new and updated parks are keeping the city and real estate market buzzing,” Bernstein said.

With Houston being so diverse, and with so many choices to live in and around the city, plus low interest rates, the real estate market and relocation to the city remain strong.
“Your home, whether buying, selling or leasing, in the city or the surrounding suburbs is our expertise,” Bernstein said.
