Have a Game-Night

Home with the family? Dust off those board games and have a game night! You can also download fun games to your phone like HeadsUp and Charades to play together for more fun. If you are home alone, call your friends on FaceTime and challenge them to a game of checkers or even play charades!

Go on a Safari

Tune in to the Houston Zoo Webcams and enjoy a live look at animals that call the Houston Zoo home! See the herd of Asian elephants wander through their enormous habitat. Watch as giraffes nibble lettuce fed to them by guests at the feeding platform; you could join them on your next visit.

Get Outdoors

Go outside and go for a walk in your residential area. Take your dog out for a long walk or run. To get more fresh air, try working out in your back yard or cooking dinners out on the grill. Enjoy this time and get some fresh air instead of only being inside if you are able to do so.

Cook a New Meal

Bring out those cook books and recipes you have not used yet and experiment in the kitchen. Have fun with different ingredients and see what kind of delicious meal you can come up with. Have a themed meal night, like Mexican or Italian food.

Enjoy the Arts

Step inside world class museums and virtually tour places like the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art through Google Arts and Culture.

Build a Fort in your Living Room

Build a fort out of blankets and pillows in your living room and re-live your childhood by camping out in the living room. Even make s’mores inside and watch a movie or play games under your “tent”. Have fun with it and invite your kids to pretend like you are camping!

Organize Rooms in your House

Now is a good time to get ahead on projects around your house. Try to organize a new room in your house every other day or tackle the house all in one day. Try to get to those rooms you usually avoid to organize, like the closet or the garage!

Take advantage of one of the many movie streaming services like Netflix, Disney + and Hulu and have a movie night. You could even have your friends watch the same movie as you separately and then call to discuss (like a book club!)

Read a Good Book

Grab your favorite cup of coffee and relax on the couch with a good book. Turn your
